The new City Council environmental brigade carried out maintenance work and improvement of natural areas, parks and gardens (20/11/2009)

The plan of actions undertaken by the City Council Environmental Brigade Molina de Segura for the preservation and enhancement of natural spaces, parks and gardens has been presented at a press conference today Friday 20 November, the Councillor Development and Employment Sonia Carrillo Marble, Councilman Parks and Gardens, Vicente Fernandez Oliva, and Alderman for the Environment, José Antonio Carbonell Contreras.

The brigade is composed of 21 unemployed (19 pawns gardeners and two officers) employed for 9 months by the session molinense thanks to a grant from the Regional Employment Service and Training (SEF) of Murcia, amounting to 368,465.39 euros .

Six of the workers perform their work in parks and gardens, while the remaining 15 do in natural areas of the municipality:

BRIGADE ACTIONS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE NATURAL AND EQUIPMENT

Molina de Segura has a diverse natural heritage unknown environments and colors.

For conservation and protection, the City of Molina de Segura has implemented programs and activities for the environmental recovery of many places emblematic of the municipality.

These actions include the creation of a Municipal Parks Network, a firm commitment to protect the areas of greatest environmental and ecological value of Molina de Segura, and the establishment of ecological corridors which connect the network.

In carrying out these programs for conservation and environmental restoration will involve the environmental brigade:

- Ecological Park Vicente Blanes created twelve years ago, such as environmental remediation of agroforestry area north of our county, it shall work brigade of mountain forestry, control and elimination of procesionaria, maintenance of paths, The recreation area improvement trough (with the construction of new tables, maintenance and improvement of the Arboretum), replacement of trees, periodic cleaning of the campsite El Olivar, maintenance of the viewpoints, control of water intake to the pond to protect implementation of amphibians documented, and repair of stone walls or linings to prevent water loss and erosion.
