The need to conserve geodiversity is the central theme of the course of the International University of the Sea was opened today in Moratalla and runs until September 26.
This course, directed by Professors Rafael Arana and Francisco Guillén, national and international initiatives address inventory, conservation, management and use of geological heritage.
They will also be studied, and geological formations, landforms, minerals, rocks and fossils.
Participants will have the opportunity to see places of interest in this field as reefs Molina de Segura, Fortuna and Abanilla and seabed, lakes and volcanoes of the Northwest of Murcia.
