The Full Council of Moratalla approved with the votes of the opposition and the non-PP, a motion IU-Greens against Bill on Protection of Rights designed and Pregnant Women.
The initiative also asks the council to move these agreements the Government of Spain and we urge the immediate withdrawal of this draft law
The formation of the left expressed satisfaction for having achieved it to go ahead this agreement "will help the government to take note of the discomfort of the company before making that violate the basic rights and freedoms."
Councilman IU-Greens in the city of Moratalla, Diego Fernandez, argued that the right of women to decide on motherhood can not be framed in a discussion outside the free choice of women.
"It is a fundamental right and, as such, can not be exchanged with the most reactionary religious and social strata," said the mayor.
Also highlighted the "restrictive and retrograde character" of the draft of PP because "violates rights and freedoms of women in relation to their ability to make decisions about motherhood."
For Fernandez, the decision of the City Council to support the motion Moratalla IU-Green highlights the gap that has opened within the PP, and that has been approved despite having the PP an absolute majority, organized by the abstaining councilors this group.
IU-Green defends the right to abortion and the free choice of women "without interference, without conditions, without guardianship, or penalties."
