The CEO of Social Policy, Leopoldo Navarro, visited the 13 children, aged between six and 17 years, the Center for Children 'New Future' that are going on a short holiday in the town of Moratalla.
The children, during the day, participate in various activities such as, for example, towards Revolcadores, cycling, archery, climbing, little paths, zip line, making homemade bread, bowls, foam workshop, among others.
The CEO of Social Policy said that "all these activities are directed and supervised by a monitor of leisure time, that tells how to perform and monitors the safety of children to avoid incidents."
Navarro thanked the Centre for Minors 'New Future' by the "valuable" work that develop throughout the year and during the holiday period to meet these children ensuring their educational, social and personal.
The Center for Children 'New Future' hosted last year 2012 to a total of 29 juveniles under protective measure of custody or guardianship that had to be removed from their families in situations of abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, negligence or any other indicator of helplessness.
Also, the director praised the "important" work of those families involved in various initiatives promoted by the Ministry of Health and Social Policy and the Family Vacation Program, the Program 'Kangaroo' or Temporary Foster Care Program, among others .
At present, the regional government is responsible for some 1,200 children are placed under protective measure and guardianship.
In this sense, Navarro concluded that "one of the priorities of the regional government is to continue working to ensure the best possible care to these children."
