The Minister of Public Works and Planning, Antonio Sevilla, today presented three houses of public advocacy Moratalla where the Institute for Housing and Land in the Region of Murcia (IVS) has incorporated green measures and energy efficiency in construction .
"These measures will enable the users of housing, families with low income, achieve greater energy savings and everyday enjoyment of your home, and greater savings in water consumption, avoiding where possible the use energy external support, "explained Antonio Sevilla.
The performance of IVS focused on urban regeneration environment of Moratalla Solitude on a plot of 712.25 meters square, which is divided into three levels, two bands buildable and a central space that is intended to recover public square and access to a new building for multiple uses.
The homes have a total area of 206 square meters and involves an investment in the region of about 300,000 euros.
Energy saving and environmental conservation
The project implemented by the IVS have introduced a set of active and passive measures that would not only save energy but also take advantage of environmental conditions to actively contribute to conservation.
As explained by the holder of Public Works, the project was raised respecting the existing slopes on the ground with the intention of minimizing earthworks.
"The houses are designed in the lee of the mountain, naturally benefit from a high thermal stability."
In the walls, floor and roof materials used some thermal insulation thicknesses greater than current regulatory requirements.
The rooms have carpentry with thermal break and a few hole sizes appropriate to the climatic conditions of Moratalla.
In terms of materials and construction systems, Sevilla said that it has promoted the use of dry construction systems - system partition-plasterboard, which have reduced the waste generated in the construction process.
On the other hand, have arranged a series of active measures to improve the energy efficiency of the whole as solar collection system, giving no hot water for it is necessary to use external sources of support.
They also have a mechanical ventilation system (individual for each dwelling) which, together with micro ventilation system of the woodwork, will ensure minimum ventilation in the home daily and reduce condensation problems in it.
Finally, we installed a water purification system includes gray, on the one hand, the water generated in the housing (faucets, sinks ...) and, second, the rainwater collected in the square to subsequently lead to a treatment plant where the processing can take advantage of this water for filling tanks, and irrigate the surrounding gardens.
