The presidential advisor, Manuel Campos, today held a working meeting with the mayor of Moratalla, Antonio Garcia Rodriguez, who was accompanied by the Deputy-Mayor, Juan Pascual Martínez Soria.
At this meeting, issues related to the implementation of a biomass plant and other issues related to the environment.
The official stressed that regional biomass plant is an "important" for Moratalla, as it will encourage the use and production of electrical energy, using prunings from trees and agricultural crops.
Fields explained that the plant would be treated more than 179,000 tons annually of wood waste that would result in the production of more than 10 megawatts, data that demonstrate the return on this infrastructure.
