The general director of Water, Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs, Marta Moreno, the mayor of Hellin, Diego Garcia Caro, the mayor of Moratalla, Juan Llorente and the president of the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS), Charo Quesada , presented yesterday the emergency project to improve the quality and security of supplies to the villages of Las Minas, Agramón and Gallows as well as the village of Salmon in the town of Moratalla Murcia, which, thanks to an investment of 565,000 euros, will end with the problems of low quality and timely supply shortages experienced by these urban centers
Emergency works, which include the placement of a pipe of 10.2 kilometers, will benefit 1,200 people from the four districts that currently drink water that is not the best quality, which means that the ministries of Health of Castilla-La Mancha and Murcia warn of its low health.
Potable water supply to the town of Las Minas and Salmeron is currently performed by a direct shot from the river Segura, with consequent fluctuations in turbidity material trawls, which have the water circulating through this channel, just as shown by regular analytical they are made.
Moreover, the absence of regulation tank creates a risk of shortages by making or breaking an increase in suspension of river water.
