The approval required by the ICO went ahead in the extraordinary plenary session held on Thursday night with the votes in favor of the Socialist Group, the abstention of the Popular Group and the votes against the IU-Ganar Moratalla Group
The Mayor of Moratalla, Jesús Amo, signed this morning, together with a representative of Banco Mare Nostrum, the loan granted by the Official Credit Institute (ICO) of a new line of credit of € 1,717,000 under the Management Fund of Local Entities that is going to suppose a whole bag of oxygen for the liquidity and the investments of the consistory.
According to Amo, this line has "very advantageous conditions with an interest rate of 0.46% and which is directly deducted from the participation in the State taxes, with a lack of capital during the first two years, being a great opportunity since this line we are going to be able to enjoy only a dozen of City councils in all Spain "
The signature was made once the Municipal Assembly gave the green light on Thursday night where this time the urgency of the call was approved and the proposal went ahead with the favorable votes of the Socialist Group, the abstention of the Popular Group and the rejection of the IU-Ganar Moratalla Group.
For the mayor of Moratalla "this € 1,717,000 represents a new relevant step in the sustainability and economic disposition of the City Council, which is added to the one given a few months ago when we managed to unblock the debt with the Treasury, and will provide us with liquidity facilities and investment of face, especially, for immediate actions in districts, in social policies and in tourism.
