The University of Murcia (UMU) and the city of Moratalla have signed a collaboration agreement on Tuesday with the main objective of strengthening the presence of the teaching institution in the municipality, with the strengthening of its permanent headquarters.
The agreement has been signed in the convalescent building by the rector, José Orihuela, and the mayor of Moratalla, Jesús Amo.
The Vice Chancellor of Training and Innovation and initiator of the agreement, Pedro Miralles, has had words of remembrance for the previous director of the headquarters, Professor José Luis Mirete, who has also happened to Professor Rafael Rabadán.
He has also indicated that during the government stage of the current rector's team some thirty of these seats have been set up by different municipalities of the Region.
The Mayor of Moratalla has highlighted the work developed by Mirete and the promotion of Culture that was carried out at the time by Professor José Ludeña.
He also highlighted the excellent perspectives that derive from the agreement.
Orihuela has closed the event with an intervention in which he indicated that activities such as conferences, seminars, volunteering and others will have a place in the program to be developed by this headquarters.
The act of the signing has also counted with the presence of the regional deputy of the Socialist Group in the Ascensión Ludeña Regional Assembly.
