The socialist Jesus Amo has been elected this evening new mayor of Moratalla.
Mr Amo, who has assured that he was not able to govern during the whole legislature, has indicated that he will implement during the next two years the policies that have characterized the PSOE in the last decades.
The goal, explained Master, is that "neighbors and neighbors of Moratalla and its districts will smile and hope again" because its closest institution, which is the City Council, "put them on the path of recovery."
Likewise, the new socialist mayor has emphasized that one of the main challenges is to reduce the debt so great that the Consistory has, but bearing in mind that it must be given benefits to 13 pedanias.
And both the neighbors of the districts and the municipality "will demand that we comply with our commitment to create employment."
For this reason, Jesus Amo asserted, "we have to try to combine strategies to carry out a good political action, but without raising the tax burden on the neighbors."
