Fomento repairs the vaults and the sign of the bridge of the road that connects Moratalla with Caravaca and Calasparra (16/02/2017)

The Ministry of Development and Infrastructure works to repair the vaults and the sign of the bridge on the RM-B35, which connects the municipality of Moratalla with the RM-714 (CaravacaCalasparra).

José Antonio Fernández Lladó, director general of Roads, along with the mayor of Moratalla, Cándida Marín, visited the works to supervise the evolution of the same.

These are practiced at kilometer point 5.2, at the bridge level, involve an investment of more than 21,000 euros and will end next week.

Fernández Lladó said that this action "contributes to increase the safety of the bridge", where a crack in the road had been detected and malformations in the road caused by the passage of time and the seat of the land.

The Roads director explained that for the repair of the road and conditioning the terrain heavy machinery is used, also the struts and the formwork have been properly placed and the separation of the works of factory is being filled with concrete of high adhesion and compensated retraction .

Also, all material that is in poor condition, which will be deposited in a landfill, will be removed, and the firm will be replaced using hot asphalt agglomerate.

Counseling carries out a special safety plan at work because work is done on the road axis as this road supports a considerable traffic intensity of more than 780 vehicles a day, of which close 80 are heavy.

In addition to the special signage, construction workers are responsible for regulating traffic to ensure the safety of drivers and speed up the circulation.
