Violence against women is one of the most degrading human rights violations and continues to progress at the global level.
It does not respect borders, cultures, economic levels.
It is present in times of conflict and times of peace, at home, at work and on the streets.
It is a manifest injustice that prevents society from advancing in the path of equality and common welfare that we all want to live together.
In the last thirteen years, the number of women murdered according to statistics is 863, rising this year to 37. Behind these numbers lies a society disrupted by patriarchy that breaks the road to equality.
This is one of the reasons why we join forces and wills;
It is necessary to end gender violence.
This can not be considered as a problem exclusive to the private sphere of women;
All Public Administrations and society in general, must participate in the eradication of this social scourge.
In order to undertake a real struggle, different lines of work are proposed.
On the one hand, the creation of the "Local Table of Coordination against Gender Violence" is in process.
Initiative that is being implemented in local administrations throughout the region and whose main objective is the promotion, at the municipal level, of policies and actions for the eradication of gender violence.
This bureau will be made up of several social agents that intervene or can intervene directly or indirectly against gender violence.
On the other hand, public order actions are planned to reach different groups: minors, adolescents, adults and professionals.
The activities begin on November 22 with the Workshop "The silence": Achilles heel of Gender Violence.
Said workshop will be held in Moratalla casco and the districts of Benizar and Sabinar.
On November 25, we convened a rally in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, where the reading of the institutional manifesto against violence against women will take place.
As a closing of the "Ni una menos" program, the workshop "Adolescence and Violence Machista" will take place, where professionals from the Cavi Network of Caravaca de la Cruz will participate.
In addition to these activities, activities will be carried out in the educational centers of the town, the Center for Reconciliation of Work and Family Life and the Center for Day Stays.
