On May 28, the City of Moratalla from the Department of Environment and Citizenship convoked a Day of Volunteer for cleaning the Pozo del Somogil.
El Pozo del Somogil, as is commonly known- upstream of Camping La Puerta, was blinded by land and washed away by heavy rains that occurred earlier this year stones.
To jump the alarm of this situation, the City proceeded to ask the appropriate permissions to the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura and launched an open call to recover this natural heritage of Moratalla.
The volunteer event, which took place on the morning of Saturday had a great acceptance and participation, going about thirty people, children / as and older, moratalleros / as birth and heart ... to get leave well as each and all we remembered.
It was an endearing morning of work and coexistence whose primary objective was to recover that space of great natural value but also of great emotional value.
It was a morning of memories, anecdotes and why not say, laughter and despair at the difficulty of the tasks.
He finished the day with great satisfaction sitting down to see how the well is filled.
A wonderful gift of nature to see that in barely half an hour the pit was filled with water.
The reaction was unanimous, the day ended with great applause.
