The Federation of Teaching of Workers Commissions (FECCOO) Region of Murcia is aware of a new attempt to suppress a line of Early Childhood Education at CEIP Juana Rodríguez de Moratalla. Today there are 3-year registrations in this center, which can maintain the current two lines without any problem, facilitating teaching and favoring much closer attention to minors.
However, as has been the case for three years, the temptation to suppress lines in public centers does not cease. "It is a fact the facility to invest public budget in private companies dedicated to the educational field, at the same time that staff and resources of public centers are reduced, which should receive preferential attention from those responsible for the Ministry," says Nacho Tornel, general secretary of FECCOO Region of Murcia. It is a fact, in the opinion of the Federation, that reducing lines in 3-year-old children is a sure way to weigh down the enrollment of the entire center from now on, something inadmissible in the management of public officials of regional education. On the contrary, the reasonable thing to do in this exceptional situation would be to dedicate resources to decrease ratios to favor the protection of all members of the school community and favor a resumption of face-to-face activity. "It is a perfect political fraud the stream of millions diverted to private companies at the expense of the resources and staff of public centers.
The political line of the regional government is a smooth dismantling of the public service to favor private business, an almost imperceptible form to empty the maintenance budgets of public centers and staff to deliver more and more resources to the private interest, "concludes Tornel.
