A few neighbors tired of seeing how the policy has been, until now, unable to solve a problem with the road that keeps them in a situation of almost isolation from the rest of the Region of Murcia.
We are Region criticizes the situation of total abandonment suffered by the residents of Benizar.
"The problem arises because about three kilometers of this road run through the Community of Castilla La Mancha, and the Government of the Board considers this road as a road, so it does not allocate any budget to its maintenance. The direct consequence is that these neighbors they are affected by a section loaded with potholes, which frequently floods increasing its isolation and whose narrowness makes it impossible for two vehicles to circulate through the same point, with the consequences that this can have in case of emergency ".
The spokesman of Somos Region and number two of the autonomic candidacy, Antonio Tomás Espín, together with the secretary general of the regional formation, Jesús López Molina and other members of Somos Región have listened to their demands and have provided them with two possible solutions.
"The first option would be to reach an agreement with the government of Castilla La Mancha so that, even if that stretch of road runs through another Autonomous Community, it is the government of the region that maintains it." This is a very cheap option and would solve the problem The other option would be to build a new section of road, which would be about five kilometers long and which would run entirely through the territory of the Region, whatever it may be, these Murcians must be fully guaranteed their connection with the rest of the Region ".
Antonio Tomás is committed to the residents of Benizar to support this claim.
"If We Are Region gets the support of the people of the Region of Murcia, we will work from the Regional Assembly all that is necessary to solve this problem quickly and satisfactorily."
The electoral caravan of Somos Región, has also visited the towns of Calasparra and Moratalla and will continue throughout this week touring the municipalities of the entire regional geography in an initiative, reminiscent of the first years of democracy and that has the sympathy of the citizens.
