The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has arrested the two alleged perpetrators of various crimes against heritage in the Northwest region.
The arrest was made on highway RM-15, at the height of Bullas, when they fled with a truck loaded with stolen effects after the commission of a robbery in a workshop and robbery.
The events took place at dawn, when several people had committed a robbery with force and a theft in buildings of Cañada de la Cruz-Moratalla, so a purse-seine device was established in the different localities of the Northwest region for the purpose to stop them and recover the stolen objects.
One of the patrols that participated in the encirclement device located a truck circulating on the RM-15 motorway, at the height of Bullas, which generated certain suspicions, for which reason it was detained to rule out its involvement in the events.
When identifying the two occupants, the Civil Guards detected certain symptoms of nervousness.
The inspection of the cargo they carried revealed that it was the effects stolen in Moratalla, at that moment making the arrest of both as alleged perpetrators of robbery with force in public establishment.
Once arrested and after carrying out the pertinent checks, the Civil Guards recovered a large quantity of metal objects and tools supposedly stolen from a workshop in the Moratalla municipality.
They also confiscated the vehicle used by those now detained for the development of criminal activity, in this case a truck.
From the analysis of the information obtained in the first phase of the investigation, it appears that the two detainees could belong to a criminal group dedicated to the commission of systematic crimes against property.
In addition to theft with force, the arrested are also attributed the alleged responsibility for a crime of theft committed that same night in another building in the town.
Citizen collaboration has been crucial in locating and arresting those now arrested and recovering the stolen effects, as a local neighbor alerted the Benemérita to criminal activity and could react with remarkable agility.
The Spanish detainees, aged 22 and 60, residents of Alicante and, with the recovered effects and the diligences instructed have been made available to the Magistrate's Court of Mula (Murcia).
