Jesús Amo intends to give a boost to the issues of the Commonwealth and will ask for greater support to the Community to improve services in rural areas
On the afternoon of Wednesday, September 19, a plenary session of this body was held in Caravaca at the headquarters of the Commonwealth of Social Services of the Northwest, where it was handed over to the presidency of the body, which during the next year will fall to the mayor of Moratalla
Jesús Amo takes over from the mayor of Cehegín, José Rafael Rocamora, with the presence of the rest of the members of the municipalities included in this Commonwealth, such as the mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Moreno, and the councilors responsible for social policy such as the caravaqueña María José Soria, the calasparreño Antonio José Merino and the ceheginera Antonia Fernández.
Jesús Amo highlighted the great utility for the Northwest region carried out by this Commonwealth of Social Services that allows greater and intense activity "in services of special sensitivity and importance for citizens" and highlighted the great work done by the workers of said Commonwealth in the face of the difficulties faced in the wide territory of the region.
Precisely in the due attention and proximity to the people residing in the rural area, the maximum priority of the new president of the Commonwealth is focused, "since the provision and equality of opportunities in the social services in all the localities and districts is fundamental for guarantee continuity and quality of life in the smallest urban centers ".
